Atropine sulfate【C】

Gastrointestinal Agents : Anticholinergic Antispasmodics
IATRO3 “Atropine sulfate injection” 1 mg/ml; 1 ml/amp

適應症:膽石症、幽門痙攣、胃酸過多、胃痙攣、有機磷化物、毛果芸香鹼中毒、診斷用散瞳、調節痙攣、乙醚等麻醉時之抑制支氣管分泌。

Usual dose:

Bradyarrhythmia, acute symptomatic: IV/Intraosseously

Adult: 0.5 mg IV q3-5min to max. total dose of 3 mg.

Pediatric: IV/Intraosseously, 0.02 mg/kg, repeat once after 5 min; min. dose 0.1 mg; max. 1 mg/dose in adolescents and 0.5 mg/dose in young children; max. total dose 2 mg in adolescents and 1 mg in young children.

Organophosphate poisoning: IV/IM

Adult: 2 to 3 mg IV/IM repeated in 20-30 min as soon as cyanosis has cleared, continue dosage as needed, sometimes for 2 days or more.

Pediatric: 0.05 mg/kg/dose q2-5min until atropine effect is observed; doses may be repeated q1-4h as needed.

Anticholinesterase overdose: IV/IM

Adult: 2-4 mg IV initially, then 2 mg repeated q5-10min until muscarinic symptoms disappear or signs of atropin toxicity appear.

Pediatric: 1 mg IV/IM initially, then 0.5-1 mg repeated q5-10min as needed.

Premedication for anesthetic procedure: IV/IM/SC

Adult: 0.4-0.6 mg IV/IM/SC prior to induction of anesthesia.

Pediatric: 0.01-0.03 mg/kg IV/IM/SC prior to induction of anesthesia; max. 0.6 mg/dose.

Disorder of gastrointestinal tract- Spasm: IV/IM/SC

Adult: 0.3-1.2 mg IV/IM/SC q4-6h.

Contraindication:

Glaucoma, or a predisposition to narrow anterior chamber angle glaucoma.

Pyloric stenosis or prostatic hypertrophy (except in doses used for preanesthetic medication).

Adverse effect:

Common: tachyarrhythmia, constipation, xerostomia, blurred vision, light intolerance, micturition finding.

Serious: cardiac dysrhythmia, immune hypersensitivity reaction, coma, raised intraocular pressure, respiratory depression.
