適應症:高血壓、狹心症。
Usual dose:
Angina: 2.5-60 mg qd (most frequent dosage range 20-40 mg qd).
Hypertension: initial, 2.5 mg qd; maintenance, 2.5-10 mg qd; max. 60 mg/day.

Contraindication:
Bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiogenic shock, hypersensitivity to carteolol, overt cardiac failure, second and third degree AV block, severe sinus bradycardia.
Adverse effect:
Common: angina, chest pain, hypotension, anxiety, asthenia or weakness, depression dizziness, drowsiness, headache, insomnia, paresthesias, tremor, somnolence, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, impotence, urinary frequency ocular irritation, ocular burning, tearing, conjunctival hyperemia, edema, blurred or cloudy vision, light sensitivity, decreased night vision pharyngitis), nasal congestion, bronchitis, bronchospasm, cough, dyspnea, rhinitis, sinusitis, wheezing, rash, diaphoresis, muscle cramps.
Serious: arrhythmias, heart failure.
