Antidotes in Poisoning : Specific Antidotes
OMETA1 “Metalcaptase tablet” 300 mg/tab
適應症:重金屬中毒、類風濕關節炎。
Usual dose:
Rheumatoid arthritis: 125-250 mg/day; increased at 1-3 mon by 125-250 mg until satisfactory remission is achieved or toxicity occurs.
Wilson’s disease: initially, 750-1500 mg/day, may be increased, as indicated by the urinary copper analysis, up to 2 gm/day as needed.
Lead etc. poisoning: 1-1.5 gm/day for 1 to 2 mon given 2-3 h pc.
Cystinuria: 2 gm/day in 4 divided doses range of 1-4 gm/day as needed.
Contraindication:
During pregnancy (except for treatment of Wilson’s disease and certain cases of cystinuria), penicillamine-related aplastic anemia/agranulocytosis, rheumatoid arthritis p’ts with history or evidence of renal insufficiency.
Adverse effect:
Common: rash, disorder of taste, epigastric pain, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, myelosuppression.
Serious: pemphigus, oral lichenoid reaction, agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia, thrombocytopenia, myasthenia gravis, peripheral motor neuropathy, sensory neuropathy optic neuritis, tinnitus, Goodpasture’s syndrome, proteinuria, renal glomerular disease, renal vasculitis, obliterative bronchiolitis.
