Antidotes in Poisoning : Specific Antidotes
IDESF1 “Desferal injection” 500 mg/vial
適應症：鐵質沈著症、急性鐵中毒、鋁質沈著症。
Usual dose:
Chronic iron intoxication: 0.5-1 g/day IM, plus 2 gm IV/U of transfused blood, max. rate 15 mg/kg/h; max dose. 1 g/day with no transfusion, 6 gm/day if 3 or more units of transfused blood or packed red blood cells; 1-2 gm SC (20-40 mg/kg/day) over 8-24 h.
Acute iron intoxication: 1 g IV initially, then 500 mg q4h for 2 doses, then subsequent doses of 500 mg q4-12h as needed, max. 6 g/day.
Contraindication: severe renal disease or anuria.
Adverse effect:
Common: injection site pain.
Serious: cardiac complication, hypotension, shock, tachyarrhythmia, immune hypersensitivity reaction, ototoxicity, vision finding, mucormycosis.
