適應症:
OCART3, OHERB1:狹心症、輕度至中度之本態性高血壓。
OPROG1:高血壓。
OCARD4:狹心症、高血壓。
Usual dose:
Angina:
Adult: Initial 30 mg QID; usual dose 180-360 mg/day, max. 360 mg/day.
Extended release cap: initial 90 mg bid; max. 360 mg/day.
Hypertension:
Adult: 30-60mg TID, max. 540 mg/day.
Extended release cap: initial 90-120 mg bid; usual dose 240-360 mg/day, max. 360 mg/day.
Pediatric: 1.5-2 mg/kg/day in 3-4 divided doses; max. 6 mg/kg daily, not to exceed 360 mg/day
Dose adjustment:
Renal Impairment: use with caution.
Hepatic Impairment: use with caution; half-life is increased in patients with cirrhosis.
Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to diltiazem or any component of the formulation; sick sinus syndrome (except in patients with a functioning artificial pacemaker); second- or third-degree AV block (except in patients with a functioning artificial pacemaker); hypotension (systolic <90 mmHg); acute MI and pulmonary congestion
Precaution:
Conduction abnormalities (may cause first-, second-, and third-degree AV block or sinus bradycardia); hypotension; syncope; peripheral edema; left ventricular dysfunction; elevations in hepatic transaminases.
Adverse effect:
Common: bradyarrhythmia, peripheral edema, dizziness, headache, cough, fatigue.
Serious: congestive heart failure, heart block, myocardial infarction, hepatotoxicity.
