適應症：
IEPIN1, IEPIR1：過敏反應引起之休克、呼吸道痙攣或喉頭水腫心跳停止之急救、支氣管性氣喘。
TEPIR9：止血劑 (手術時外傷、鼻、拔牙後、齒齦等局部出血的預防與治療、鼻、口腔粘膜的充血、腫脹）。
Usual dose:
Anaphylaxis: IM
Adult: 0.3 mg (0.3 ml of a 1:1000 solution); may be repeated if severe anaphylaxis persists.
Pediatric: 0.15-0.3 mg, depending on body weight; 0.01 mg/kg may be appropriate for p’ts < 30 kg.
Asthma: Inhalation
Adult: add 2-3 ml to 100 ml salt water as daily dose, inhale 2-3 times/day. Coughing spasm: 1-3 drops.
Asthma: SC
Adult: 0.2-0.5 mg (0.2-0.5 ml of a 1:1000 solution) q2h as required; in severe attacks, may repeat dose q20min for max. 3 doses 8-30 mg/kg/day, divided q8-12h.
Pediatric: 0.01 ml/kg/dose (1:1000 solution) to max. 0.4-0.5 ml, may repeat q15-20min for 3-4 doses or q4h if needed.
Cardiac arrest: IV
Adult: 1 mg IV initially; may be repeated as necessary q3-5min.
Pediatric: initial 0.01 mg/kg (0.1 ml/kg of a 1:10,000 solution) IV; may be repeated q3-5min as needed, initial endotracheal dose, 0.1 mg/kg (0.1 ml/kg of a 1:1000 solution), may repeat q3-5min.
Contraindication:
Inhalational form: within 2 wks use of MAOIs.
Injection form: cardiac dilatation and coronary insufficiency, organic brain damage, concurrent use with local anesthetics for injection of certain areas (eg; fingers, toes, ears); increased risk of vasoconstriction and sloughing of tissue.
Adverse effect:
Common: anxiety, apprehension, nervousness dizziness, weakness, tremor dyspnea, pallor eye pain (ophthalmic form) headache nausea, vomiting sweating tachycardia, palpitations.
Serious: arrhythmias hypertensive crisis pulmonary edema.
