適應症:降低顱內壓、腦水腫。
Usual dose:
CNS trauma:
Adult: initially 0.5-1 g/kg IV (over 30 min).
CNS tumors/neurosurgical procedures:
Adult: 1 g/kg IV (over 30 min).
Intracranial hypertension:
Pediatric: 0.2-1 g/kg/h which produce plasma concentrations of 1-3 mg/ml (10-30 mmole/ml).
Contraindication:
Well-established anuria, severe dehydration, frank or impending acute pulmonary edema, severe cardiac decompensation.
Precaution:
Too rapid infusion may cause hemolysis, using in diabetic p’t may cause hyperglycaemia and glycosuria following metabolism of glycerol.
Adverse effect:
Common: hemoglobinuria, hyperglycemia, hypokalemia, hyperosmolarity, dizziness, nausea.
Serious: headache, vomiting.
