適應症:
OCTL1:治療第II型糖尿病。
OEUTO1, OGLUC2, OGLUC5:糖尿病。
Usual dose:
Diabetes mellitus type II: initial, 500 mg bid or 850 mg qd; maintenance, titrate in 500 mg increments weekly or 850 mg increments every 2 weeks; max. 3000 mg/day.
Dose adjustment:
Renal impairment: eGFR: 30-45 ml/min/1.73 m2: titrated to the minimum dose for adequate glycemic effect.
Contraindication: eGFR< 30 ml/min/1.73 m2 (or Scr≧ 1.5 mg/dL [males] or 1.4 mg/dL [females] or an abnormal CrCl); iodinated contrast media (usually used in X-ray examination); metabolic acidosis including ketoacidosis; Elderly (age>80y).
Adverse effect:
Common: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, cobalamin deficiency, malabsorption syndrome, asthenia, indigestion, headache.
Serious: Lactic acidosis (Rare), hepatitis.
