適應症：腎上腺皮質機能不全、劇烈休克、支氣管性氣喘、膠原疾病、過敏反應、泛發性感染。
Usual dose: IV/IM/IF over 30 min.
Adult: 10-250 mg up to 6 times/day.
Pediatric: 0.03-0.2 mg/kg qd-bid.
High dose therapy: IV, 30mg/kg over at least 30 min q4h, not beyond 48-72 h.
Contraindication: systemic fungal infections.
Adverse effect:
Common: hypertension, atrophic condition of skin, finding of skin healing impaired, decreased body growth, disorder of gastrointestinal tract, at risk for infection, depression, euphoria.
Serious: cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycemia, primary adrenocortical insufficiency, osteoporosis, cataract, glaucoma, pulmonary tuberculosis.
