Gastrointestinal Agents : Antiemetics
INOVA1“Novamin injection” 5 mg/ml; 1 ml/amp
適應症：精神病狀態、噁心、嘔吐。
Usual dose:
Nausea and vomiting (Severe): IM
Adult: 5-10 mg, may repeat q3-4h if needed (total IM dosage should not exceed 40 mg/day).
Pediatric: 0.1 mg/kg.
Postoperative nausea and vomiting (Severe): IM
Adult: 5-10 mg 15-30 min before induction of anesthesia (repeat once in 30 min, if necessary), or to control acute symptoms during and after surgery (repeat once if necessary).
Psychotic disorder: IM
Adult: 10-20 mg; may repeat initial dose q2-4h (or, in resistant cases, q1h, max. 200 mg/day). In rare cases, parenteral therapy is needed for a prolonged period, give 10-20 mg q4-6h.
Pediatric (2-12 yrs): 0.1 mg/kg.
Adverse effect: See prochlorperazine maleate.
