Gastrointestinal Agents : Antiemetics
ONOVA1 “Novamin tablet” 5 mg/tab
適應症:精神病狀態、噁心、嘔吐。
Usual dose:
Anxiety, non-psychotic:
Adult: 5 mg tid-qid; do not administer in doses > 20 mg/day or for longer than 12 wks.
Nausea and vomiting, severe:
Adult: 5-10 mg tid-qid; daily dosages > 40 mg should be used only in resistant cases.
Pediatric
(20-29 lbs): 2.5 mg qd-bid and max. 7.5 mg/day.
(30-39 lbs): 2.5 mg qd-bid and max. 10 mg/day.
(40-85 lbs): 2.5 mg tid or 5 mg bid and max. 15 mg/day.
Psychotic disorder:
Adult: initial, 5-10 mg tid-qid, increase dosage gradually by small increments q2-3d, max. 150 mg/day.
Pediatric
(2-12 yrs): 2.5 mg bid-tid; do not exceed 10 mg the first day; then increase dosage according to p’t’s response
(2-5 yrs): max. 20 mg/day.
(6-12 yrs): max. 25 mg/day.
Adverse effect:
Akathisia, blurred vision, constipation, decreased sweating, dizziness, drowsiness, extrapyramidal disease, fainting, hypotension, nasal congestion, orthostatic hypotension, pigmentary retinopathy, sialorrhea, tardive dyskinesia, xerostomia.
