Immunologic Agents : Active Immunity (Vaccines and Toxoids)
IADAC1 “Adacel injection” 0.5 ml/vial
適應症：適用於4-64歲間之追加疫苗接種，以預防白喉、破傷風、百日咳。
Usual dose:
Adult (11-64 yrs): booster dose, 0.5 ml IM for 1 dose.
Pediatric (6 wks- < 7 yrs): primary series and booster, 0.5 mL IM x 5 doses; doses given at 2, 4, and 6 mon of age, and boosters at 15-20 mon and at 4-6 yrs; recommended intervals: between first 3 doses is 8 wks (4 wks minimum), between dose 3 and 4 is 6-12 mon, dose 5 before entry into kindergarten or elementary school (but is not needed if dose 4 was given after 4th birthday).
Contraindication:
History of encephalopathy within 7 days of previous dose of pertussis-containing vaccine.
Progressive neurologic disorder (eg. uncontrolled epilepsy, progressive encephalopathy); defer vaccination until neurologic status is clarified and stabilized.
Precaution: acute infection or moderate/severe febrile illness.
Adverse effect:
Common: injection site pain, gastrointestinal symptom, fatigue, headache.
Serious: anaphylaxis, seizure.
