適應症：
OESTR2：更年期障礙、卵巢欠缺症狀、卵巢機能不全、機能性子宮出血、腔炎。
OEYZU1：膣炎（老人、小兒及非特異性）、卵巢欠缺症狀、卵巢機能不全症、更年期障礙、機能性子宮出血。
TPREM2：萎縮性陰道炎及更年期性外陰萎縮症。
Usual dose:
Atrophic vulva- Atrophy of vagina: Intravaginally 0.5-2 g daily cyclically (3 wks on and 1 wk off), depending on severity of the condition.
Atrophic vulva- Atrophy of vagina: PO
Initial, 0.3 mg daily (continuously or cyclically).
Female hypogonadism: PO
0.3 or 0.625 mg daily given cyclically (3 wks on, 1 wk off).
Menopausal symptoms: PO
0.3-1.25mg/day cyclincally; reduce or discontinue dose at 3-6 mo. intervals.
Postmenopausal osteoporosis: PO
Initial, 0.3 mg daily given continuously or in cyclical regimens (25 days on, 5 days off); adjust indivisualy.
Breast carcinoma (women > 5 yrs after menopause): PO
10 mg tid for at least 3 mo.
Prostatic carcinoma: PO, 1.25-2.5 mg tid.
Contraindication:
Arterial thromboembolic disease (active or recent, eg, stroke, MI), breast cancer (known, suspected, or history of, except in appropriately selected p’ts being treated for metastatic disease), DVT/pulmonary embolism (active or a history of these conditions), estrogen-dependent neoplasia (known or suspected), undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding, liver dysfunction or disease, pregnancy.
Adverse effect:
Common: edema, chloasma, hirsutism, pruritus, weight change finding, bloating symptom, flatulence, nausea, stomach cramps, vomiting, leg cramp, migraine, depression, disturbance in mood, disorder of menstruation, pain of breast, swelling of breast, withdrawal bleeding.
Serious: heart disease, hypertension, MI, body fluid retention, breast cancer, DM, hypercalcemia, disorder of gallbladder, pancreatitis, venous thromboembolism, anaphylaxis, cerebrovascular accident, dementia, impaired cognition, thrombosis of retinal vein, cervical cancer, malignant neoplasm of endometrium of corpus uteri, ovarian cancer, pulmonary embolism.
