適應症:高血壓。
Usual dose:
Angina pectoris- Hypertension: PO
Adult: initial, 200 mg bid; titration, may increase up to 1200 mg/day.
Hypertension: PO
Adult: initial, 100 mg bid; titration, may increase dose in increments of 100 mg bid q2-3d; maintenance, 200-400 mg bid.
Hypertension: IV
Pediatric (3-15 yrs): initial, IV bolus 0.2-1 mg/kg, IV continuous infusion 0.25-1.5 mg/kg/h.
Hypertensive encephalopathy: IV
Adult: repeat IV injection, initial, 20 mg IV over 2 min, followed by 40-80 mg IV at 10 min intervals until optimum antihypertensive effect is achieved; max.total dose, 300 mg IV; slow continuous infusion, effective dosage range, 50-200 mg IV at 2 mg/min IV; max. total dose, 300 mg IV.
Contraindication:
Bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiogenic shock, conditions associated with severe and prolonged hypotension, hypersensitivity to labetalol, overt cardiac failure, second and third degree AV block, severe sinus bradycardia.
Adverse effect:
Common: bradyarrhythmia, edema, lightheadedness, orthostatic hypotension, excessive sweating, has tingling sensation, scalp, pruritus, rash, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, taste sense altered, vomiting, increased liver enzymes, dizziness, paresthesia, serum blood urea nitrogen raised, serum creatinine raised, absence of ejaculation, impotence, congestion of nasal sinus, dyspnea, wheezing, fatigue.
Serious: ventricular arrhythmia, hyperkalemia, hepatotoxicity, bronchospasm.
